Regular Season Round 17: Aishin AW - Toyota B SR 51-52

A very interesting game took place in Anjo. It ended with only one-point home defeat of 8th ranked Aishin Wings (4-13) to ninth ranked Toyota B SR (5-12) 52-51 in the fight for the eighth place. Aishin Wings were ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 17-9 third quarter run of Toyota B SR. Center Eri Hatanaka (178-91) saved the victory by scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Yoshie Watanabe (162-86) contributed with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. The former international center Hiromi Suwa (183-85) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds and guard Hitomi Takasaki (168-86) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Aishin Wings. Toyota B SR moved-up to eighth place. Aishin Wings lost their eighth game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. Toyota B SR's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Yamanashi QB (#12) at home. Aishin Wings will play against Chanson V-M and hope to win that game.
