Very expected game in Waterloo, ON where 8th ranked Warriors (2-15) were defeated by second ranked Lancers (12-5) 75-65 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-65. Lancers outrebounded Warriors 54-31 including a 39-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for the former international forward Lien Phillip (203-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 21 rebounds. Guard Khalid Abdel-Gabar (188-90) helped adding 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Lancers players scored in double figures. point guard Myles Charvis (178-94) responded with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized British swingman Mike Helsby (193-89) scored 6 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Lancers have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 12-5 record having three points less than leader McGill. Warriors lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 15 games lost.
