Regular Season Round 28: Shandong FB - TianJin S. 92-84

An interesting game took place in Jinan where higher ranked TianJin Steel (16-12) was upset on the court of tenth ranked Shandong Bulls (15-13) 92-84 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of TianJin Steel. The hosts trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 54-38 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Shandong Bulls dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to TianJin Steel's 32 and made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Shandong Bulls forced 25 TianJin Steel turnovers. TianJin Steel was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Ukrainian point guard Pooh Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and American power forward Donnell Harvey (203-80, college: Florida) who added 17 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Sebastian Telfair (183-85) responded with 17 points and 6 assists and Jordanian forward Zaid Abbas (203-83) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Shandong Bulls have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Liaoning H. Loser TianJin Steel dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost. Shandong Bulls will face higher ranked Beijing Ducks (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
