Second Stage Round 13: Quilmes MP - Argentino 76-71

No shocking result in a game in Mar del Plata where sixth ranked Quilmes MP (7-6) defeated 14th ranked Argentino (3-10) 76-71 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Argentino was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 22-16 charge of Quilmes MP, which allowed them to win the game. Point guard Fabian Sahdi (189-89) fired 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. Center Diego Romero (206-82, college: Florida St.) chipped in 15 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Quilmes MP players scored in double figures. American power forward Anthony Myles (206-82, college: Xavier, agency: KMG Sports Management) produced 19 points and the other American import forward Marcus Melvin (205-82, college: N.Carolina St.) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Quilmes MP moved-up to fifth place, which they share with GECR Indalo. Argentino lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Quilmes MP's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Mar del Plata Penarol.
