Regular Season Round 28: Sichuan BW - Zhejiang CB 117-114

A very interesting game took place in Sichuan. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 12th ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (12-16) to thirteenth ranked Sichuan BW (12-16) 117-114 in the fight for the twelfth place. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Sichuan BW made 23-of-29 charity shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Sichuan BW outrebounded Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank 47-35 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. 28 personal fouls committed by Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a very good performance for Nigerian-American guard Michael Efevberha (193-84, college: CS Northridge) who helped to win the game recording 47 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. American D.J. White (206-86, college: Indiana) contributed with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Sichuan BW's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard Dewarick Spencer (193-82, college: Arkansas St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) replied with 30 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and his fellow American import Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) added 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank. Four Sichuan BW and five Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank players scored in double figures. Sichuan BW moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Zhejiang CB. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank lost fourth consecutive game. Sichuan BW's next round opponent will be Bayi Rockets (#17) in Ningbo where they are favorite.
