The game in La Spezia supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Ragusa (14-1) played at the court of 7th ranked La Spezia (7-7). Ragusa smashed La Spezia 69-41 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of La Spezia. The game without a history. Ragusa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding La Spezia to just 5 points in third quarter. Ragusa forced 19 La Spezia turnovers. The best player for the winners was American point guard Riquna Williams (170-90, college: Miami, FL) who scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Her fellow American import power forward Ashley Walker (187-87, college: California, agency: Merit Management Group) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Ragusa. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Familia Schio. Newly promoted La Spezia keeps the seventh place with seven games lost. Ragusa will meet at home Parma (#5) in the next round. La Spezia will play against the league's leader Familia Schio and hope to secure a win.
