Regular Season Round 7: Ullern - Gimle 104-75

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Gimle (8-1) in Oslo on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by third ranked Ullern (4-3) 104-75. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Gimle. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The game without a history. Ullern led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 76.2 percentage. Ullern looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Gimle's players. It was a great evening for the former international guard Tina Moen (180-86, college: IPFW) who led her team to a victory scoring 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international guard Jeanine Flaaten (169-85) helped adding 25 points and 7 assists. Five Ullern players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Taysha Pye (175-89, college: William & Mary) responded with 35 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard D'lesha Lloyde (179-86, college: Clemson, agency: Merit Management Group) scored 24 points and 9 rebounds. Ullern moved-up to second place. Defending champion Gimle still keeps top position with one game lost. Ullern are looking forward to face BC Asker (#3) in Rykkinn in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Gimle will play at home against Ulriken and is hoping to win this game.
