No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (11-6) beat at home 8th ranked Galil Gilboa (7-10) 77-68. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-8. But Galil Gilboa won third quarter 22-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hapoel Tel-Aviv made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Carlon Brown (195-89, college: Colorado) who scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized Swedish power forward Jonathan Skjoldebrand (204-83) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Four Hapoel Tel-Aviv players scored in double figures. American forward DeShawn Sims (203-88, college: Michigan) produced 18 points and point guard Nimrod Tishman (197-91, agency: Avi Zilberman) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Hapoel Tel-Aviv moved-up to third place, which they share with Maccabi Haifa. Galil Gilboa lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with ten games lost. Hapoel Tel-Aviv's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tel-Aviv to the arena Maccabi T-A.
