Everything went according to plan when eighth ranked Halcones UV Xalapa (18-17) outscored at home bottom-ranked Gansos (3-34) 129-72 on Monday. The game without a history. Halcones UV Xalapa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Gansos' 40. They outrebounded Gansos 36-24 including a 25-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Halcones UV Xalapa shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 63.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Gansos' players. International center Adam Parada (213-81, college: Cal-Irvine) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds (on 12-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners and international guard Franco Harris (183-83, college: Boise St.) chipped in 21 points.
