Tenth-ranked Bnei Hasharon (5-12) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Maccabi T-A (13-4) in Hod Hasharon on Monday. The visitors from Tel-Aviv managed to secure only two-point victory 90-88. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 16 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 90-88. Maccabi T-A made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Maccabi T-A made 7 blocks. American swingman Devin Smith (196-83, college: Virginia) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points. Four Bnei Hasharon players scored in double figures. Maccabi T-A have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain second place with 13-4 record behind leader Hapoel J-M.
