ProB top team - SO Maritime Boulogne (18-8) added another victory to their record on Tuesday. This time they beat sixteenth ranked Saint Vallier (9-17) 88-81. Saint Vallier trailed by 13 points at halftime and as many as 26 after three quarters before a 35-16 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 81-88 at the end of the game. American forward Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Pro One Sports) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). The former international forward Stephen Brun (202-80) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. SO Maritime Boulogne's coach Germain Castano used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Julian Gamble (207-89, college: Miami, FL) replied with 24 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import Steve Smith (200-81, college: Iona) added 21 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Saint Vallier. Five SO Maritime Boulogne and four Saint Vallier players scored in double figures. SO Maritime Boulogne maintains first position with 18-8 record. Saint Vallier at the other side keeps the sixteenth place with 17 games lost. SO Maritime Boulogne are looking forward to face Le Portel (#5) at home in the next round.
