There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Hyeres-Toulon (14-12) lost on the road to tenth ranked Poitiers (13-13) 83-67 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Poitiers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Hyeres-Toulon's 28. American point guard Justin Ingram (189-85, college: Toledo, agency: Two Points) notched 24 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and American-British power forward Laurence Ekperigin (201-88, college: Le Moyne) supported him with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Even 20 points and 6 rebounds by American forward Tyren Johnson (202-88, college: La-Lafayette) did not help to save the game for Hyeres-Toulon. point guard Axel Julien (185-92) added 13 points and 6 assists for the guests. Poitiers moved-up to ninth place, which they share with St Quentin and Denain. Loser Hyeres-Toulon dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Fos Ouest. Poitiers will meet higher ranked ALM Evreux (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hyeres-Toulon will play against Aix-Maurienne and hope to secure a win.
