Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Vivo/Franca (8-10) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Brasilia (12-8) 87-72 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 49-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. International Guilherme Giovannoni (204-80, agency: Interperformances) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and international guard Alex Ribeiro (191-80, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 15 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Despite that victory Brasilia went down to fifth position due to points difference. Loser Vivo/Franca dropped to the eleventh place with ten games lost. Brasilia will face Mogi (#8) in Mogi das Cruzes in the next round. Vivo/Franca will play on the road against Unitri in Uberlandia and hope to win that game.
