The most important game in the last round took place in Reykjavik between third ranked Keflavik (13-7) and fifth ranked KR (8-12) on Wednesday night. Keflavik was crushed by KR on the road 92-68. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 13-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 92-68. KR forced 20 Keflavik turnovers. International Sara Run Hinriksdottir (165-96) responded with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international forward Bryndis Gudmundsdottir (178-88) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KR maintains fifth position with 8-12 record, which they share with Hamar. Defending champion Keflavik dropped to the second place with seven games lost. They share the position with Haukar. KR is looking forward to face Grindavik (#7) on the road in the next round. Keflavik will play against the league's leader Snaefell (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
