Regular Season Round 37: Panteras - Huracanes 88-98

Rather expected game in Aguascalientes where 10th ranked Panteras (15-20) were defeated by eighth ranked Huracanes (18-16) 98-88 on Thursday. The game without a history. Huracanes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Huracanes shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Bahamas power forward Ryan Moss (200-74, college: UALR) stepped up and scored 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and the former international power forward Arim Solares (202-83) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. Four Huracanes players scored in double figures. At the losing side Puerto Rican point guard Ricardo Melendez (179-83) responded with 32 points and Puerto Rican swingman Alejandro Carmona (194-83) scored 24 points and 5 rebounds. Huracanes moved-up to seventh place. Panteras lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 20 games lost. Huracanes will face Lechugueros (#12) in Leon in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Panteras will play at home against Correcaminos and hope to win that game.
