Regular Season Round 25: Carleton - Toronto 90-65

Date: January 31, 2014
Very predictable result when leader Ravens (17-0) rolled over 8th ranked Blues (3-14) in Ottawa, ON 90-65 on Friday. The game without a history. Ravens led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Ravens outrebounded Blues 42-24 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Blues were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for the former international guard Philip Scrubb (190-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 assists. The former international forward Tyson Hinz (201-91) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized Greek guard Alex Hill (196-90, college: Cornell) answered with 29 points and 7 rebounds and guard Matt Savel (185) added 17 points in the effort for Blues. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourteenth consecutive win for Ravens. They maintain first place with 17-0 record. Loser Blues keep the eighth position with 14 games lost. Ravens will face Rams (#3) in Toronto, ON in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Blues will play at home against the league's second-placed Gee-Gees (#2) and hope to win that game.
