There was no surprise when 7th ranked Bisons (4-13) lost to fourth ranked Wolfpack (9-8) in Winnipeg, MB 60-76 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Wolfpack. Bisons was better in second period 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Wolfpack forced 23 Bisons turnovers and outrebounded them 39-28 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for center Josh Wolfram (208-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Reese Pribilsky (183) contributed with 22 points and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Andre Arruda-Welch (193) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and forward Dan Penner (201) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Bisons. The victory was the third consecutive win for Wolfpack. They moved-up to third place, which they share with York. Loser Bisons keep the seventh position with 13 games lost. Wolfpack will face Wesmen (#3) in Winnipeg, MB in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Bisons will play on the road against Heat (#8) in Kelowna, BC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
