Regular Season Round 25: UBC - Lethbridge 80-95

The game between third ranked Thunderbirds (8-8) and fourth ranked Pronghorn (11-6) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Thunderbirds were defeated by Pronghorn in Vancouver, BC 80-95. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Thunderbirds. The game without a history. Pronghorn led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Alex Fletcher (185) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 8 assists. Guard Logan Reiter (188) contributed with 25 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Pronghorn players scored in double figures. Forward Harpreet Randhawa (201) answered with 13 points and 9 rebounds and guard Jordan Jensen-Whyte (196-94) added 9 points and 5 assists in the effort for Thunderbirds. Thunderbirds' coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pronghorn maintains fourth place with 11-6 record, which they share with Laurentian. Thunderbirds at the other side dropped to the fourth position with eight games lost. Pronghorn is looking forward to face league's leader Vikies in Victoria, BC in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Thunderbirds will play on the road against Dinos in Calgary, AB and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
