An interesting game for Huskies (10-5) which hosted in Halifax, NS 3rd placed X-Men (8-6). Second ranked Huskies managed to get a 10-point victory 96-86. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of X-Men. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 59-48 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Huskies made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Huskies made 8 blocks. Forward Theeon Reefer (198) nailed 26 points for the winning side and guard Boyd Vassell (178) accounted for 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. point guard William Donkoh (185) came up with 22 points and 4 steals and forward Kevin Bercy (198) added 13 points and 11 rebounds respectively for X-Men in the defeat. Five Huskies and four X-Men players scored in double figures. X-Men's coach tested eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Huskies maintains second place with 10-5 record having seven points less than leader McMaster. Loser X-Men dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with UNB. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
