Regular Season Round 25: McMaster - Lakehead 85-74

Not a big story in a game when 5th ranked Thunderwolves (6-11) lost to first ranked Marauders (14-3) in Hamilton, ON 74-85 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Marauders. Thunderwolves was better in fourth quarter 22-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Quite impressive performance for guard Aaron Redpath (193) who helped to win the game recording 22 points. Center Taylor Black (201) contributed with 9 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. point guard Dwayne Harvey (178) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 assists and forward Anthony McIntosh (198) added 19 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Thunderwolves. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Marauders. They maintain first place with 14-3 record. Loser Thunderwolves keep the fifth position with 11 games lost. Marauders will face again Thunderwolves (#5) in Thunder Bay, ON in the next round.
