Regular Season Round 18: Kangoeroes - Aalstar 62-81

Very expected game when 10th ranked Kangoeroes (2-16) were smashed by fifth ranked Okapi Aalstar (11-7) in Willebroek 81-62. Samoan-American power forward John Tofi (203-84, college: UTEP) scored 20 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American Lee Cummard (201-85, college: BYU, agency: Priority Sports) chipped in 11 points during the contest. Five Okapi Aalstar players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Serbian Stefan Zivanovic (196-89) with 15 points and American power forward Maurice Pearson (206-89, college: Georgetown, KY) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. Okapi Aalstar maintains fifth position with 11-7 record. Kangoeroes lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with 16 games lost. Okapi Aalstar will play against league's second-placed Spirou Charleroi at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kangoeroes will play against Leuven Bears (#7) and hope to get back on the winning track.
