The game in Loganholme was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Adelaide Lightning (10-12) played at the court of 8th ranked Logan Thunder (6-15). Adelaide Lightning managed to secure a 6-point victory 77-71 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Logan Thunder won fourth quarter 24-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Logan Thunder 40-25 including 25 on the defensive glass. The former international Jennifer Screen (180-82) stepped up and scored 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and international center Laura Hodges (191-83) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Adelaide Lightning players scored in double figures. Guard Sarah Graham (163-89) responded with 26 points and forward Tegan Cunningham (185-88, college: Oklahoma St.) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Adelaide Lightning maintains fifth place with 10-12 record. Logan Thunder lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 15 games lost. Adelaide Lightning will meet bottom-ranked West Coast Waves (#9) in the next round. Logan Thunder will play against Sydney Uni Flames and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
