Regular Season Round 33: Shiga L-Stars - Aomori Watts 86-83

Important game to mention about took place in Shiga. Sixth ranked Shiga L-Stars (13-16) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 8th ranked Aomori Watts (12-15) 86-83 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Aomori Watts. The hosts were ahead by 5 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 27-21 run, which allowed them to win the game. Aomori Watts were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Panamanian forward Dionisio Gomez Camargo (203-80, college: Arkansas) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side and American forward Marshall Brown (199-85, college: Missouri) accounted for 19 points and 5 rebounds. Guyanese-American forward Gordon Klaiber (206-83, college: Fair Dickinson) came up with 23 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and guard Yuki Kitamuki (184-85) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for Aomori Watts in the defeat. Five Shiga L-Stars and four Aomori Watts players scored in double figures. Shiga L-Stars moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Takamatsu FA. Aomori Watts at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 15 games lost. They share it with Sendai 89ers. Shiga L-Stars will again play against Aomori Watts (#8) in the next round. Aomori Watts will have a break next round.
