The game between closely ranked teams ended with tenth ranked Pais Vasco's (6-9) road victory over 11th ranked Ibaizabal (4-11) 63-48. The game was mostly controlled by Pais Vasco. Ibaizabal was better in fourth quarter 17-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Maria Gomez (170-82) who led the winners and scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Center Miriam Foraste (190-91, agency: Regeneracom Sports) accounted for 8 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. point guard Juana Molina-Prados (174-91) came up with 19 points and American center Lady Comfort (188-86, college: Temple) added 5 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Ibaizabal in the defeat. Pais Vasco moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Conquero and Cadi ICG S. Ibaizabal lost their third game in a row. Ibaizabal at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Pais Vasco will play against higher ranked Argon Uni Girona (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ibaizabal will play against the league's leader Perfumerias Avenida (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
