Regular Season Round 26: Victoria - Lethbridge 84-57

Date: February 1, 2014
Not a big story in a game in Victoria, BC where 4th ranked Pronghorn (11-7) was rolled over by first ranked Vikies (16-2) 84-57 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Vikies. Pronghorn was better in fourth quarter 15-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vikies looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American swingman Terrell Evans (193) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Chris McLaughlin (208) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Guard Logan Reiter (188) responded with 18 points and American center Brent Watkins (208) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vikies have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-2 record, which they share with Ottawa and Alberta. Loser Pronghorn keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
