Everything went according to plan in Prince George, BC where first ranked Golden Bears (16-2) outscored 7th ranked Timberwolves (4-14) 96-70 on Saturday. The game without a history. Golden Bears led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Timberwolves' 34. Golden Bears looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Timberwolves' players. The former international guard Jordan Baker (192-91, college: Utah Valley) scored 23 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Joel Friesen (193) chipped in 18 points during the contest. Four Golden Bears players scored in double figures. British-Cameroonian forward Franck Kouagnia (201) responded with 19 points and guard Charles Barton (193) scored 15 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Golden Bears have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-2 record, which they share with Ottawa and Victoria. Timberwolves lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
