Regular Season Round 27: Hyogo S. - Hokkaido L. 80-101

An interesting game for Hokkaido L. (18-12) which played road game in Hyogo against 4th placed Hyogo S. (6-22). Third ranked Hokkaido L. had an easy win 101-80. The game without a history. Hokkaido L. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Hokkaido L. forced 19 Hyogo S. turnovers. American players dominated the game. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Jameel Watkins (211-77, college: Georgetown) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: KMG Sports Management) accounted for 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Hokkaido L.'s coach Juan Manuel Hurtado felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Carl Hall (203-89, college: Wichita St.) came up with 20 points and 8 rebounds and swingman William Knight (196-79, college: UCLA) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Hyogo S. in the defeat. Four Hokkaido L. and five Hyogo S. players scored in double figures. Hokkaido L. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 18-12 record having six points less than leader Aishin SH. Hyogo S. lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourth position with 22 games lost. Hokkaido L. will meet league's second-placed Wakayama T. on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hyogo S. will have a break next round.
