Very expected game in Tokyo where 11th ranked Ebara Vickies (1-17) were rolled over by sixth ranked Mitsubishi K. (12-6) 80-55 on Saturday. The game without a history. Mitsubishi K. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Mitsubishi K. outrebounded Ebara Vickies 47-28 including a 32-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Swingman Aya Watanabe (170-92) scored 20 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international center Enjin Wantsu (189-87) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Mitsubishi K.'s coach Yuuki Yamashita felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Arisa Takagi (168-89) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and guard Inamoto Satoko (165-84) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. Mitsubishi K. maintains sixth position with 12-6 record. Ebara Vickies lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 17 games lost. They share the position with Yamanashi QB. Mitsubishi K. will meet higher ranked Denso Iris (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ebara Vickies will play against Toyota A. (#3) and hope to win that game.
