Regular Season Round 33: Saitama Bron. - Fukuoka Rizing 66-79

Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Fukuoka Rizing (12-17) beat on the road 11th ranked Saitama Broncos (2-27) 79-66 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Fukuoka Rizing. Saitama Broncos was better in second period 21-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American swingman Seth Tarver (196-88, college: Oregon St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and guard Keisuke Takahata (183-90) chipped in 18 points (perfect behind the arc making all six shots !!!). Four Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. Fukuoka Rizing's coach Jamie Duncan used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American swingman John Humphrey (188-80, college: Middle Tenn.St.) with 18 points and the other American import swingman Michael Joiner (200-81, college: Florida St.) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Fukuoka Rizing maintains seventh place with 12-17 record, which they share with Osaka Evessa. Saitama Broncos lost their twentieth second game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 27 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face Osaka Evessa (#8) on the road in the next round.
