We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Quebec City, QC where one of their biggest challengers Rouge et Or (4-8) was defeated by fifth ranked Citadines (2-8) 72-60 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Citadines. Rouge et Or was better in second period 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forward Philippe Tamba (201) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Richard Addai (180-88) chipped in 14 points and 9 assists during the contest. Four Citadines players scored in double figures. Naturalized Bosnian power forward Boris Hadzimuratovic (206-91, college: High School) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Karl Demers-Belanger (180) scored 9 points. Rouge et Or's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Citadines maintains fifth position with 2-8 record. Loser Rouge et Or keeps the fourth place with eight games lost. Citadines' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montreal, QC to the arena Redmen.
