Ethias League top team - Oostende (13-3) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Leuven Bears (8-10) 86-64. The game without a history. Oostende led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game, while Leuven Bears only scored five points from the stripe. It was a good game for American Wesley Wilkinson (206-84, college: Nebraska) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import guard Ryan Thompson (198-89, college: Rider) contributed with 7 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Oostende players scored in double figures. Oostende's coach Dario Gjergja felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Jason Westrol (191-88, college: Bentley) replied with 21 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Olivier Troisfontaines (192-89, agency: LBM Management) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Leuven Bears. Oostende have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 13-3 record. Leuven Bears at the other side keep the seventh place with ten games lost. Oostende are looking forward to face Belfius Mons-Hainaut (#3) in Quaregnon in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Leuven Bears will play at home against Kangoeroes (#10) and are hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
