2Liga top team - GKS Tychy (16-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked AZS Pol.Cz-wa (3-14) 98-66. The game without a history. GKS Tychy led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to AZS Pol.Cz-wa's 36. GKS Tychy forced 25 AZS Pol.Cz-wa turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by AZS Pol.Cz-wa's players. The best player for the winners was guard Marceli Dziemba (186-92) who scored 15 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Piotr Halas (193-87) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four GKS Tychy players scored in double figures. Forward Michal Saran (195-80) produced 19 points and guard Michal Ciesla (188-81) added 14 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for GKS Tychy. They maintain first place in Group B with 16-1 record, which they share with GTK Gliwice. AZS Pol.Cz-wa lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost. GKS Tychy's next round opponent will be AZS AWF K-ce (#5) in Katowice. AZS Pol.Cz-wa will play at home against Mickiewicz (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
