Very important is a road loss of second ranked JL Bourg (17-9) against thirteenth ranked Boulazac Basket (12-15) on Saturday night. Visiting JL Bourg was defeated by Boulazac Basket in Boulazac 65-50. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of JL Bourg. The game was mostly controlled by Boulazac Basket. JL Bourg was better in fourth quarter 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Boulazac Basket forced 20 JL Bourg turnovers. Americans were the main players on the court. It was an exceptional evening for forward Tyler Smith (201-86, college: Tennessee) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Jason Siggers (194-85, college: Albany) accounted for 11 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Power forward Devin Booker (203-91, college: Clemson) came up with 15 points and 7 rebounds and forward John Flowers (200-89, college: W.Virginia, agency: KMG Sports Management) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for JL Bourg in the defeat. JL Bourg's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Boulazac Basket moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Souffel. JL Bourg at the other side dropped to the third position with nine games lost. Boulazac Basket will play against Saint Vallier (#16) on the road in the next round. JL Bourg will play against Hyeres-Toulon (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
