Regular Season Round 18: KK Hito - Kalev/Cramo 65-111

Bottom-ranked KK Hito is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 20th consecutive match to third ranked Kalev/Cramo (13-1) 111-65 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 22-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 111-65. Kalev/Cramo dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to KK Hito's 42 and made 27-of-34 free shots (79.4 percent) during the game, while KK Hito only scored five points from the stripe. They outrebounded KK Hito 42-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. International forward Kristjan Kitsing (205-90) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and international guard Rain Veideman (192-91) supported him with 17 points and 5 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Five Kalev/Cramo players scored in double figures. Even 22 points by American guard Joe Prophet (193, college: Westminster, MO) did not help to save the game for KK Hito. Power forward Edvard Trumm (192-83) added 17 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains third position with 13-1 record having 2 victories less than leader TU/Rock. Loser KK Hito still closes the standings. Kalev/Cramo's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tallinn TTU.
