No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Sparta (10-8) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Heffingen (2-16) 84-71. Heffingen was ahead by 9 points at the halftime before a 51-29 second half run of Sparta. It was a good game for American point guard Kasey Ulin (182-82, college: Dickinson St.) who led his team to a victory with 30 points and 5 rebounds. The other American import power forward Joseph Kennerly (204-84, college: Cent.Oklahoma) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Sparta players scored in double figures. American forward Dominique Morrison (198-89, college: ORU) replied with 25 points and 8 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) and Sudanese power forward Teeng Akol (211-88, college: W.Kentucky) added 19 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Heffingen. Sparta moved-up to third place, which they share with Contern and Larochette. Heffingen lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost.
