Regular Season Round 15: Pays d'Aix - CFBB 73-59

Rather predictable result when eleventh ranked Pays d'Aix (5-9) won against bottom-ranked CFBB (1-16) in Les Milles 73-59 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Pays d'Aix. CFBB was better in fourth quarter 18-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pays d'Aix dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to CFBB's 32. It was a good game for American forward Shenita Landry (188-87, college: Temple, agency: Two Points) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 18 rebounds. Forward Viviane Adjutor (185-93) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four Pays d'Aix players scored in double figures. Pays d'Aix's coach Damien Leroux used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ornella Bankole (180-97) answered with 15 points and 6 rebounds and forward Katia Clanet (187-96) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for CFBB. Pays d'Aix moved-up to tenth place. Loser CFBB stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Pays d'Aix will face Charnay (#12) in Charnay-les-Macon in the next round. CFBB will play at home against Dunkerque and hope to win that game.
