No shocking result in a game when second ranked Pau Lacq Orthez (10-4) beat at home 13th ranked Perpignan (3-2) 73-60 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Pau Lacq Orthez. Perpignan was better in second period 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for naturalized Senegalese forward Mariame Dia (185-78) who led her team to a victory with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Lakevia Boykin (175-91, college: Wake Forest) contributed with 20 points for the winners. The former international center Elodie Bertal (191-84) answered with 16 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Laurie Datchy (173-90) added 15 points in the effort for Perpignan. Despite that victory Pau Lacq Orthez went down to third position due to points difference. Loser Perpignan keeps the thirteenth place with two games lost. Pau Lacq Orthez will face league's leader COB Calais on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
