The game between closely ranked teams ended with 11th ranked Pabellon Ourense's (2-10) home loss to tenth ranked Oviedo (4-8) 37-68 on Saturday. The game without a history. Oviedo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They held Pabellon Ourense to an opponent 21.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.7 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Pabellon Ourense 51-26 including a 18-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for Cameroonian forward Florence Avebe (185-88, college: Massachusetts) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Sara Fernandez Alvarez (180-87) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized Paraguayan guard Claudia Aponte (173-91) replied with 16 points and Laura Patao added 13 points in the effort for Pabellon Ourense. Pabellon Ourense's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Oviedo moved-up to ninth place in Group A, which they share with Cafe Barco. Pabellon Ourense lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with ten games lost. Oviedo will face higher ranked ADBA (#4) in Aviles in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Pabellon Ourense will play on the road against Real Celta Vigo (#6) and hope to win that game.
