The game between third ranked Bulleen Boomers (13-7) and sixth ranked Canberra Capitals (9-13) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Bulleen Boomers were defeated by Canberra Capitals in Melbourne 88-74. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Canberra Capitals's pressure prevailed and they won that period 24-15 extending their advantage to 14 points. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was international center Abby Bishop (189-88) who scored 29 points and 9 rebounds. Naturalized British center Alex Bunton (198-93, college: Wichita St.) chipped in 7 points and 14 rebounds. Canberra Capitals' coach Carrie Graf used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
