Leader Bendigo Spirit delivered the nineteenth victory. This time they beat 6th ranked Sydney Uni Flames (8-13) 79-70. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Sydney Uni Flames won third quarter 17-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bendigo Spirit made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Bendigo Spirit had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Kelsey Griffin (188-87, college: Nebraska) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Canadian forward Chelsea Aubry (188-84, college: Nebraska) contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Bendigo Spirit's coach Bernie Harrower allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international forward Rohanee Cox (182-80) answered with 21 points and 6 rebounds and guard Katie-Rae Ebzery (177-90) added 18 points in the effort for Sydney Uni Flames. Bendigo Spirit have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 19-2 record. Sydney Uni Flames at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 13 games lost. Bendigo Spirit will play against Bulleen Boomers (#3) in Melbourne in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
