Regular Season Round 24: Carleton - Ryerson 62-68

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Carleton (13-5) against sixth ranked Rams (6-12) on Saturday night. Host Carleton was defeated by Rams in a tough game in Ottawa 62-68. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Carleton. Rams forced 20 Carleton turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Kenesha Pingue-Giles (170) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 9 rebounds and guard Mariah Nunes (178-93, college: Fair Dickinson) who added 21 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Rams' coach Carly Clarke used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was forward Lindsay Shotbolt (183) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds and forward Heather Lindsay (190) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds. Four Carleton players scored in double figures. Rams maintains sixth position with 6-12 record, which they share with Guelph. Loser Carleton still keeps top place with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
