Regular Season Round 34: Shiga L-Stars - Aomori Watts 67-65

Important game to mention about took place in Shiga. Sixth ranked Shiga L-Stars (14-16) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 8th ranked Aomori Watts (12-16) 67-65 on Sunday evening. Aomori Watts were ahead by 9 points at the halftime before a 21-6 third quarter run of Shiga L-Stars. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Aomori Watts to just 6 points in third quarter. Shiga L-Stars forced 19 Aomori Watts turnovers. Strangely Aomori Watts outrebounded Shiga L-Stars 48-28 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Aomori Watts were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Panamanian forward Dionisio Gomez Camargo (203-80, college: Arkansas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. American forward Marshall Brown (199-85, college: Missouri) contributed with 20 points for the winners. American power forward Anthony Kent (208-83, college: Ball St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Guyanese-American forward Gordon Klaiber (206-83, college: Fair Dickinson) added 20 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Aomori Watts. Shiga L-Stars moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Oita H.Devils. Aomori Watts at the other side keep the eighth position with 16 games lost. Shiga L-Stars will play against Takamatsu FA (#6) at home in the next round. Aomori Watts will play against Tokyo Cinq R. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
