Regular Season Round 18: Tromso - Baerum Basket 74-67

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Tromso and 5th ranked Baerum Basket had identical 8-4 record. This time Tromso used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Bekkestua 74-67. American power forward Mike St.John (203-84, college: La Salle, agency: Global Sports Plaza) notched a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import guard Gary Wallace (187-88, college: Robert Morris) supported him with 22 points and 5 rebounds. St.John is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Tromso's coach Kenneth Webb allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 25 points and 4 steals by point guard Stian Mjos (183-89) did not help to save the game for Baerum Basket. American forward Austin Steed (203-88, college: E.Carolina) added 13 points and 6 rebounds. Tromso have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Defending champion Baerum Basket keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Tromso will play against league's leader Gimle BBK in Bergen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Baerum Basket will play at home against Asker Aliens (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
