Regular Season Round 34: Saitama Bron. - Fukuoka Rizing 64-72

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Saitama Broncos (2-28) were defeated at home by eighth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (13-17) 72-64 on Sunday. Saitama Broncos trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 20-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 64-72 at the end of the game. American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. point guard Cohey Aoki (167-80) chipped in 19 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Fukuoka Rizing's coach Jamie Duncan allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American swingman John Humphrey (188-80, college: Middle Tenn.St.) produced 23 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Michael Joiner (200-81, college: Florida St.) added 14 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. Fukuoka Rizing moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Osaka Evessa and Takamatsu FA. Saitama Broncos lost twentieth third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 28 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face league's second-placed Kyoto Hannar. at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Saitama Broncos will play against Shimane Magic (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
