Very predictable result when second ranked Den Bosch (17-5) smashed at home 9th ranked Amsterdam (4-19) 69-50. The game without a history. Den Bosch led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was an exceptional evening for American-Iranian point guard Ali Farokhmanesh (183-88, college: N.Iowa) who led the winners and scored 15 points and 4 assists. International forward Ralf de Pagter (200-89) accounted for 8 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Center Lucas Steijn (211-86, college: Idaho St.) came up with 21 points and 5 rebounds and forward Gian Slagter (192-91) added 7 points respectively for Amsterdam in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Den Bosch. They maintain second place with 17-5 record having just three points less than leader Groningen. Amsterdam lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 19 games lost. Den Bosch will play against Leiden (#6) at home in the next round. Amsterdam will play against Den Helder and hopes to get back on the winning track.
