Regular Season Round 34: Iwate Big Bulls - Okinawa GK 78-89

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Iwate. First ranked Okinawa GK faced 3rd ranked Iwate Big Bulls. Guests from Okinawa (24-4) defeated host Iwate Big Bulls (20-8) 89-78. Even 22 points by American forward Lawrence Blackledge (206-86, college: Marquette) did not help to save the game for Iwate Big Bulls. American-Panamanian forward Leonardo Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego) added 9 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Four Iwate Big Bulls players scored in double figures. Iwate Big Bulls' coach Dai Oketani tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Okinawa GK maintains first position with 24-4 record. Iwate Big Bulls at the other side dropped to the fourth place with eight games lost. Okinawa GK's next round opponent will be Osaka Evessa (#8) at home and are hoping to win another game. Iwate Big Bulls will play against the league's second-placed Toyama Grouses (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
