No shocking result in a game when first ranked Stelmet ZG (14-2) beat 4th placed Anwil (10-7) in Wloclawek 94-77 on Sunday. They outrebounded Anwil 32-20 including 24 on the defensive glass. Stelmet ZG shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international point guard Lukasz Koszarek (187-84) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 8 assists. Montenegrin power forward Vladimir Dragicevic (206-86) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Stelmet ZG players scored in double figures. Lithuanian Deividas Dulkys (196-88, college: Florida St.) answered with 19 points and 4 assists and swingman Michal Sokolowski (196-92) added 17 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Anwil. Stelmet ZG have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 14-2 record. Anwil at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Stelmet ZG will face Slask Wroclaw (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Anwil will play against Stabill Jezioro in Tarnobrzeg and hope to win that game.
