Regular Season Round 13: DCU Mercy - Killester 56-61

Top ranked DCU Mercy (9-2) recorded its second loss in Dublin. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked 11890 Killester (7-5) 61-56. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of DCU Mercy. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Michelle Clarke (178-94) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 8 assists. Spanish center Laura Pardo (186-89) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four 11890 Killester players scored in double figures. American-British forward Meagan Hoffman (183-82, college: Adams St.) answered with 18 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Lindsay Peat (175-80) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for DCU Mercy. 11890 Killester moved-up to fifth place. DCU Mercy at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. They share it with UL Huskies. 11890 Killester will play against higher ranked TM Hotel Cork (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. DCU Mercy will play against Ulster Rockets in Belfast and hopes to get back on the winning track.
