Regular Season Round 20: Visby - Eskinstuna 77-63

Bottom-ranked Eskinstuna (0-16) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 77-63 loss to eighth ranked Visby Ladies (4-11) in Visby on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Visby Ladies. Eskinstuna managed to win third quarter 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Visby Ladies forced 20 Eskinstuna turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Slovakian forward Simona Podesvova (186-83) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Yvonne Anderson (170-90, college: Texas) who added 13 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Visby Ladies' coach Tamara Ruzic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Amelie Nilsson (176-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and American swingman Carmen Reynolds (182-90, college: Michigan) scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Visby Ladies moved-up to seventh place. Newly promoted Eskinstuna still closes the standings. Visby Ladies will meet IK Eos (#9) in the next round. Eskinstuna will have a break next round.
