A1 top team - Panathinaikos (15-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Aiolos Trikallon (5-11) in Athens 83-63. The game was mostly controlled by Panathinaikos. Aiolos Trikallon was better in third quarter 25-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Panathinaikos players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of American James Gist (206-86) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 9 rebounds and the former international center Loukas Mavrokefalidis (207-84) who added 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Panathinaikos have an impressive 15-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 15-1 record. Aiolos Trikallon lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Ilysiakos and Panelefsiniakos. Panathinaikos will play against KAOD (#6) in Dramas in the next round where they are favorite. Aiolos Trikallon will play at home against Ilysiakos (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
